my honest opinion

If you've done any bit of research, you may have noticed there are very very few, if not no negative reviews of the 10 day transforation out there on the web.

I thought I would give you the rundown, of the good and the bad of the program, keep in mind, this is my honest opinion: I am not a doctor, nor a scientist, just someone who has done the cleanse and is telling you thier experience.

first of all, if you have any doubts that you won't make it through this program, 9 times out of 10 you won't. you must be devoted to it, the first 2 days were absolutely terrible, I won't lie. It honestly feels like how I imagine drug withdrawals are.

at about day 5, I was doing OK, though not getting any of that extra energy promised by the wonderful representatives of purium (this was also the same response I got from two others I know who did this)

on the weight loss claim, I have nothing but good news, you will loose weight, theres not a purium user iv'e spoken to who hasn't. I will not debate that the weight loss is real, and if thats what your going for, its a great program. I lost 10.4 pounds from my transformation.

now from the first purium meeting i went to, I heard one claim that I suspected as snake oil, "you will build muscle, just by taking the master aminos, thats right, you don't have to do ANYTHING!"
now like i said: I'm no doctor, but...no matter how amazing the bricks are that you buy to build a house...its not gonna build itself, I don't care if they're made of indestructible titanium.

now, lets assume someone has actually constructed a miracle pill that builds muscle on its own...it didn't work very well for me, but maybe i'm just special. they encourage no exercise during the program, and I followed their suggestion. I felt weaker than usual, and actually felt my muscles diminish. I hated feeling so weak. sure I lost weight, but I knew I lost muscle mass also, how you ask? lifting things around the house or work was noticeably more difficult, carrying my niece made my arm soar quicker, just walking as quickly as normal for an extended period felt strenuous. ask any personal trainer, any health nut, anyone outside of puriums grasp who knows anything about muscles and they will tell you: muscles need to be broken down in order to rebuild and grow, YES master aminos would help with muscle growth IF supplemented with exercise, as a matter of fact I know people gaining muscle from exercising and taking the aminos. ive read their web site, ive read doctors articles on it, and it all comes down to this: the master aminos are a safe, efficient, and effective protein.

honestly, I didn't feel healthier during the program, I felt generally between terrible and mediocre, and as for the "it changes your taste buds so you don't crave bad things" claim, HA! yeah..false...totally false...which I expected honestly. anytime a new amazing trendy cleanse comes out, you have to assume that about half of what it claims is fanciful, or a placebo effect.

also, I didn't hear this from anyone else, but I felt like I was starving the entire 10 days, even with all 3 flex foods a day.

on the last note, I do thank purium for helping me appreciate how much I love food...and how much I really don't enjoy starving.

  1. You lose weight from Purium because you are at a calorie deficit the entire diet. This is NOT to say that you are starving your body. Since Purium is produced from an abundant variety of superfoods, your body maintains the nutrition it needs without the calories absorbed from fillers in traditional meals. The "Magic muscle pills" are not magic. As a fat person, you have a lot of weight to carry. You have already built muscle mass from carrying all that weight. When you take the pills, they may in fact give a slight increase in muscle mass (I mean slight) and will maintain your muscle tone throughout the 10 days. If you did not have this supplement, your body will take energy stores from your muscle, essentially eating away at muscle and fat. Since you maintain your muscles with the pills, you force your body to take all the extra energy from the fat stores. In this way, you lose fat, maintain muscle, through a calorie deficit diet that does not compromise nutrition.
